CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION TO THE DUNKLIN COUNTY HALL OF HONOR:

To be eligible for consideration for acceptance into the Dunklin County Hall of Honor, an individual must:

1)      Be a resident or have been a resident of Dunklin County.

 2)      Have personal accomplishments and/or achievements within their occupation, trade, profession, or field of endeavor that are considered to be distinctive, creative and/or unique.

Nomination Procedures:

 Submitter’s name

Submitter’s address and phone number

Nominee’s address

Nominee’s birth and death dates, if deceased

Nominee’s address, phone number, if applicable

A narrative – to include a biography of the nominee and a listing of his or her unique achievements, along with why you think this nomination is deserving.

 Nominations will not be considered without the above information. 

LAST DAY FOR NOMINATION SUBMISSION IS:  September  4, 2017

  Bring or mail nomination form and attachments to any county library or mail to:   Dunklin County Hall of Honor Committee, 209 North Main Street, Kennett, Missouri, 63857.  

If Nominee is selected, the following will be requested by the Hall of Honor Committee and must be provided by October 6, 2017.

1)      Memorabilia – something that represents the nominees lives. These items will be used in the display case.

2)      An eight by ten (8X10) photograph of the individual nominated. (A frame is not required, we will frame the photo for the display)

Due to space we are forced to limit the number of people inducted each year.  If the committee is overwhelmed with qualifying nominations, date of submission will be a factor in determining who is selected.  Although this not the only factor the committee looks at, the sooner your nomination is received, the better for the committee to make a formal decision.
