CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION TO THE DUNKLIN COUNTY HALL OF HONOR:

 To be eligible for consideration for acceptance into the Dunklin County Hall of Honor, an individual must:    

1. Be a resident or have been a resident of Dunklin County.

2. Have had personal accomplishments and /or achievements within their

occupation, trade, profession, or field of endeavor that are  

     considered to have been distinctive, creative and/or unique.

NOMINATION PROCEDURES:

   On the Nomination Form provide:    

1. Submitter’s Name
2. Submitter’s address, phone Number
3. Nominee’s name
4. Nominee’s birth and death dates, if deceased
5. Nominee’s address, phone number, if applicable, and attach a…

++6.  A narrative - to include a BIOGRAPHY of the Nominee and a listing of his or             her UNIQUE ACHIEVEMENTS, along with reasons why you believe that this           nomination is deserving.  

++ Nominations will not be considered without this information  

LAST DAY FOR NOMINATION SUBMISSION IS:  August 1, 2012

  Bring or mail nomination form and attachments to any county library or mail to:   Dunklin County Hall of Honor Committee, 209 North Main Street, Kennett, Missouri, 63857.  

The following will be requested by the Hall of Honoree Committee if Nominee is selected, and must be provided before September 1, 2012: 

1.  Memorabilia that is evidence of the Nominee’s unique achievement.  

     Consider these items carefully; they will be used for permanent  

     display in the Hall of Honor if the nominee is selected.

2.  An eight by ten (8X10) inch photograph of the individual nominated.

     To be used for permanent display in the Hall of Honor if nominee is

     selected.      

Due to space we are forced to limit the number of people inducted each year.  If the committee is overwhelmed with qualifying nominations, dates of submission will be a factor in determining who will be selected.  Although this is not the only factor the committee looks at, the sooner your nomination is received the better for the committee to make an informed decision.
