Greetings from the Director

JoNell Minton, Director Dunklin County Library

Your Dunklin County Library invites you to come in and stay a while to browse the collection, find a comfortable spot to sit and read, attend a library program, research your family history, or use the other services offered from your local library.

The Dunklin County Library serves the entire county with eight library locations.  Each library is connected sharing a common materials and information.  So, you may checkout a book in one location but may return it at another location.  Not only does the Dunklin County Library have books to loan, free e-books are available through the Libby app.

Monthly programs like Ennis Book Discussion, reading challenges, and Children’s Story Time are held, an annual Summer Reading Program for children through adults, monthly genealogy meetings and much more.  The Dunklin County Hall of Honor inducts individuals who have made significant contributions to this county, and these displays are available for viewing Monday through Friday in the Kennett Headquarters.

The electronic library collection catalog may be viewed from phone, tablet, or computer with an internet connections.  All locations have free Wi-Fi while inside the buildings, and other services such as copying, printing, using a public computer, and faxing are available. Information on employment, a children’s book electronic library, genealogy, learning aids, and more may be accessed through the Dunklin County Library’s webpage, Great Library Links.

The Dunklin County Library is here to serve the patrons of this county.  If you have not visited the libraries lately, you may not realize all that your county system offers the great citizens of Dunklin County.
